Mitch has spent 34 years in law enforcement. He started as an Army MP in Ft. Leavenworth, KS. He was the NCOIC of the SWAT team there. He was decorated for his service in the Army before starting his civilian career as a Deputy Sheriff. Mitch has been with a local Sheriffs Office for over 28 years now. He spent ten years on Patrol, 7 of that as a Field Training Officer. He is currently Captain over and Chief Pilot for the Air Support Unit and as such has been working closely with the SWAT Team. He has been an active firearms instructor for over 25 years. He has been instrumental in leading classes in Active Shooter Reponse/Critical Incident training in this region for almost a decade. Mitch is an NRA trained instructor for handguns and patrol rifle. He carries high liability certificates as an instructor in the Florida Criminal Justice Training Commission curriculum. He enjoys hunting and shooting in some of the local matches and looks forward to any 3 gun competitions. Mitch is especially involved in Talon’s Carbine Curriculum and is well versed in this field. He has an expansive knowledge of AR platforms.
