As a service to the retired officers from around the country who have moved here to North Florida, we offer the H.B. 218 Retiree Qualification.  If you live in Florida, you can qualify here with one of our CJSTC Certified Instructors and receive the card you need to show proficiency with the type of weapon you will be carrying.  For retired law enforcement officers, and those retirees who had arrest authority in their career, you may carry around the country with your retiree credentials and a card stating you qualified within the last 12 months.  Otherwise, you need a CCW Permit.  Not all states recognized our states CCW permit.

While most agencies in the area will qualify their own retirees, they won't qualify other agencies retirees.  Scheduling instructors and ranges is an expensive proposition.  We have people there on certain days anyway, so we can do this on our normal class days.  We will offer this about once a quarter and will provide the card you will need.  Bring your own ammunition, or purchase it from us at the going rate.  Bring your own gun, or use ours.  $35 buys you the range time and target to qualify once. Of course, if you want to shoot just a bit more to warm up, we will be there for you as long as you don't interfere with our other classes.
